Joe Rux is excited to reprise his role as Crumpet in ATC’s holiday blockbuster THE SANTALAND DIARIES. This past year Joe has been seen as Michael in DANCING AT LUGHNASA in the final performance from Epic Arts Repertory Theatre, as Donald in the world premiere of the critically acclaimed production of SOUTHERN RAPTURE here at Actor's Theatre, and Sol in DIE MOMMIE DIE along with Frank in EDUCATING RITA at Queen's City Theatre. Every Tuesday and Thursday Joe can be seen at the University of North Carolina, Charlotte, as a Professor with the UNCC Theatre Department. During his years in NYC, Joe appeared Off-Off Broadway as Whizzer in FALSETTOLAND, Gerry in NOISES OFF, and Matthew Shepard's father in THE LARAMIE PROJECT. Regionally, some of Joe's favorite roles include Elyot in PRIVATE LIVES, the Baker in INTO THE WOODS, and as a horse-riding, loincloth-wearing Native American chief at the outdoor drama TECUMSEH! in Chillicothe, Ohio. Finally, however brown-nosy it sounds, Joe wants to express his extreme gratitude to everyone here at Actor's Theatre: Chip, Dan, Carrie, Maile, Robert and Mike. It is a joy to work here with such amazing professionals.
